LEGACY OF £2000. A WIDOW'S BEQUEST. The unusual legacy of £2000, to be paid to the New Zealand Government and applied towards defraying the expenses of the present war against Germany and her allies, appears in the will of the late Mrs. Hannah Vcale Bayly, widow, of -Auckland, who died on June 26 leaving an estate valued at £10,000. Mrs. Bayly also bequeathed the. sum of £250 to the Salvation Army at Auckland. Centenarian's Estate. Three public bequests appear in the will of the late Mr. Joseph Scott, of Epsom, gentleman, who died on August 15 at the. age of over 100 years, leaving an estate valued at £25,000. Under his will a bequest of £100 is made to the Jubilee Institute for the Blind, and sums of £10' each are left to the Pukekohe East Presbyterian Church and the Pukekohe West Wesleyan Church.
