Merchants do not desire to have stocks of imported maize on hand when the hot weather arrives, owing to the danger of weevil infection. The minimum September price Is 5/9 per bushel, f.0.b.. Glsborne. Ryegrass seed values generaUy remain unaltered, but better inquiry has developed for good quality lines of Poverty Bay certified mother and commercial seed. The present quotations for lines with a minimum ?:ermlnatlon of SO per cent is 16/ to 16/8 a bushel or mother, and 13/ to 14/ for commercial. Lower testing lines are comparatively cheaper. No permanent pasture seed is left in store. These prices "*,f-°-b- rates.
