SHORTAGE OF POWER.

POSITION AT WESTPORT. "BLACK-OUTS" AT NIGHT. WESTPORT, Monday. The Westport Borough Council has been advised that 35 miles of electric cable intended for use in linking up Denniston with Weetport has been lost at sea. ■ The cable was expected to arrive very shortly. This loss will mean that Westport must continue to endure blackouts at night unless there is a heavv rainfall, as the water in Lake Rochfort, the present main source of supply of electric current, is still very low.— (Press Assn.)
