CLAY-BIRD SHOOTING.

MORRINSVILLE GUN CLUB. MORKINSVILLE, thi6 day. Results of a clay bird shoot held by the Morrinsville Gun Club on Saturday, were as follows: — First Sweep of Six Birds.—T. Heeps and E. Green, the possible. There were 21 shooters. Second sweep (challenge from Hamilton Club for Drysdale Cup, held by Morrinsville) : Hamilton, 73 points; Morrinsviile, 02 points. There were eight shooters a side, all off 13yds. Third sweep, of 10 birds: McMillan, T. Heeper, A. Aitken, W. Aitken, 7 each. There were 16 shooters. Fourth sweep, of seven birds: C. Seddon and J. Finlay, the possible. There were 13 shooters. Fifth sweep, of seven birds: A. Aitken, C. Seddon and J. Fitt, the possible.

METROPOLITAN GUN CLUB.

There was a good attendance at the Metropolitan Gun Club's usual fortnightly shoot on Saturday and some excellent scores were registered. Results: — No. 1 Sweep, of seven birds was divided, by C. E. Hodge (18yds), L. F. Ramsey (12yds-), 1. Keene (14yds) and A. E. Brown (11yds), each with the possable. No. 2 match, of 21 birds, for an eight-day clock, donated by Mr. H. E. Knight, was won outright by A. Hannigan (15yds), with the possible. M. Itelich (16yds), C. E. Hodge (18yds), L. F. Ramsey (12yds) and P. N. Gallie (16yds), tied for second place and divided the sweepstake. No. 3 sweep, a novices' match, for a trophy presented by Mr. W. Hazard, was won by W. Macredie (12yds), with the possible. L. F. Ramsey (13yds), F. Hazard (13yds), J. C. Whitney (13yds), M. Tisdall (11yds) and B. Grayson (15yds), tied with nine each for second place. No. 4 sweep, a seven birds' sweepstake: M. Delich (16yds), D. Hyauiason (12yds), E. N. Barratt (13yds), A. Hannigan (16yds), C. B. Hodge (18yds), L. F. Ramsey (13yds) and S. Spencer, Nelson (13yds), all shot the possible. In the shoot-off Barratt and Spencer divided on the 10th bird.
