RIFLE SHOOTING.

AUCKLAND CITY CLUB. Members of ttc Auckland City Defence Rifle Club opened the now season with a shoot at 300 and 500 yards last Saturday. Cblswell, 33, 2S—Ol. Seven visitors also shot. Spoons were won by Birks, Hughes and llobieson and points for the president's trophy by Birks, Hughes and Cln rk. The winter service programme has been completed, the winner being S. Griffiths with seven points. Patrick and Kelly scored four points each and Pring three points. The ranges for nest Saturday will be 500 and 000 yards.
