At a meeting of the committee of the Waikato Hunt strong exception was taken to the attitude of the member for Waikato (Mr. F. Lye) in connection with the Gaming Amendment Bill, especially in view of the statement that before the "1925 election he signed a document pledging himself to vote in favour of the passing of the bill.
