CYCLIST INJURED.

ELDERLY MAN'S THIGH BROKEN. A motor cyclist, Joseph Pauling, aged 18, of 3G2, Great North Road, sustained concussion of the brain when he collided with a motor bus on Waterview Hill, Great North Road, Avondale. early on Saturday evening. He was taken to the hospital and his condition to-day is not serious. Another person was riding behind him, but at the collision was unhurt. An elderly man, Mr. Robert Smith, aged 82, of Mount Smart Road, Onehunga, sustained a broken right thigh when he fell down as he was walking in the garden on Saturday afternoon. He was taken to the hospital, and, though his condition on his admission was not reported to be serious,' it is much worse to-day.
