OFJER OF £10,500 FOR COLT. LIMERICK MAY RUN NEXT WEEK. SYDNEY, September 27. An offer of 10,000gns. has been made by a syndicate for the A.J.C. Derby and Melbourne Cup candidate. Phar Lap. The owner, D. Davis, paid only ICOgns. for Phar Lap as a yearling in New Zealand. Limerick, contrary to expectations, is again in work. His trainer, Jones, hopes to state definitely on Tuesday whether Limerick will take part in the spring carnival, which opens on Saturday week.
