LAST DAY OF SEASON.
KENT CUP FINAL,
Officials of the Auckland Hockey Association are hopeful of fine weather tomorrow, as the matches set down for decision will wind up the 1929 season. The principal game to be played at Eemuera is the Kent Cup final between Soinerville, holders of the trophy ever since it was presented, and Mount Eden, who aro expected to make a bold bid for the honours. The second grade championship and junior challenge cup and Edgar Morgan challenge cup- finals will also be decided, while Somerville and Y.W.C.A. will meet in the ladies' senior knock-out final. LADIES' ASSOCIATION.
A fairly representative meeting of the Auckland Ladies' Hockey Association -was presided over by Miss P. 11. Dawson. In addition to executive members, delegates from Northern Wairoa, Plako, Rangitaiki and Waipa were present. It was decided that an invitation be extended to the Hlnemoa Ladies' Club (lilkurangi) to visit Auckland on September 5. The following team was chosen to meet the Ilikurangl team: —Misses Q. Ward, F. Cooper, U. Hall, C. Bestic, N. Hall, M. Raislier. P. Dawson, V. Derham, G. Lowe, K. McGill, B. Goldsbro'. Regret was expressed at the Mannrewa Club having to withdraw from the Junior grade knock-out competition. It was decided to accept the offer of the Y.W.C.A. Club to hold the association's closing function and presentation of badges and trcphies in the Y.W.C.A. Gymnasium on October 12.
