HAWKE'S BAY RACES. INTER-ISLAND RUGBY. AND GOLF. % N.I. CYCLE ROAD TITLE. ALL NEWS IN "STAR EIGHT O'CLOCK." A galaxy of important sports events is on the schedule for decision to-morrow afternoon. Chief of the racing fixtures is the Hawke's Bay Club's meeting at Hastings, one of the early spring events at which prominent horses will take pvt. Notable winter sports attractions include the inter-island Rugby match at Wellington, the New Zealand open golf championship at Wanganui, the women's golf championship at Christchurch, the North Island road cycle championship from Hamilton to Auckland, the Auck-land-Wellington Soccer match at Blandford Park, and the League football chain-pion-of-ehampions c-lub game at Carlaw Park.
Locally, in addition to the big Soccer, League and cycling events (the cycle race finishes at the Onehunga recreation reserve), there are other club football events in ail codes, amateur cycling, golf, hockey and bowling events. The races and all the outstanding results in other fixtures will appear in the "Star" "race results" edition shortly after 5.30 p.m., and special reports and complete results of the day's sport in the "Star" 8 o'clock edition later.
