OPOTIKI.
The Borough Council met on Tuesday night. Councillor Budd strongly objected to the fact that no report from the works committee has been placed before the council. He strongly advocated' that certain ■work should be done out of loan money. Councillor Bnrrett said that it was the intention of the committee to have experiments made before spending loan money. This was agreed to. Councillor Burrott moved a resolution, which was carried, striking the rates for the year The clerk- stated that £500 in outstanding rates had been collected. On the motion of Councillor Shalfoon it resolved to proceed with concrete work at the Opotiki cemetery.
