BOMBAY CLUB.
PUKEKOHE, Wednesday. The statement that in tiie past season the club had been able for the first time to enter a team in the Franklin Association's A grade competition, as well as in the B grade competition, was made by Mr. J. B. McKinney at the annual meeting of the Bombay Tennis Club. The financial statement showed a credit balance of £16. Officers were elected as follows :—Patron, Mr. J. N. Massey, M.P.; president, Mr. McKinney; vice-presidents. Rev. ,T. Belsliaw and Messrs. P. Bond, G. Carter. A. Best, A. Maitland, A. ,T. Harris, Q. T. Proude, and .T. A. Lowry; secretary," Mr. F. C. Shaw; treasurer, Mr. P. Darby; management committee, Messrs. G. Carter, A. Best, R. Shaw, R. Lowrie and S. Lowrie; ladies' committee, Mesdames Robson, R. 'Shaw and W. Landon, and Misses M. Ingram, Savidant.,, E. Haywood and I. Shaw; selection committee. Miss Savidant, Mrs. Dobson, Mr. C. Shaw, and Mr. C. Lowrie; delegates to association, Messrs. C. Shaw and R. Lowrie: auditor, Mr. C. Darby. It was decided to open the courts on October 12.
