SPRINGDALE CLUB.
TE AROHA, Wednesday. An improvement in the standard of play was reported at the annual meeting of the Springdale Tennis Club. It was decided to open the season on October 5. The following officers were elected :— Patron, Mr. F. W. Walters; president, Mr. E. Joliansen; vice-presidents, Messrs. G. A. Fisk, C. Malcolm, H. Wells, W. S. Goos-. man, A. Hunger and D. Johnson; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr. H. Wagstaff; general committee, Messrs. Hunger, Fisk, Wells and Gauntlett; club captain, Mr. D. Malcolm; delegates to the Piako Association, Messrs. 11. Wagstaff and D. Malcolm; selectors, Misses B. Fisk and 11. Wells, Messrs. D. Malcolm and L. Ilea ton.
