BUSINESS HOUSES.
MILK CO.'S BID FOR CUP. The victory of the Auckland Milk Co. s team against the Farmers.' Trading Co., on Blandford Park yesterday, gave them a firm grip of the Farmers' Trading Co. Cnp, the trophy assigned for the Business Houses competition. The game was very fast, keenly and evenly contested, and the margin in favour of the Milk Co., the odd goal in three, r e P resc,l^s the very slight superiority between two evenly balanced elevens. Farmers', were slower in defence and not so thrustfnl forward as their opponents, and this turned the tables in the last few minutes of the game. The Milk Co. have the highly creditable record of never having been once defeated in two seasons, and are even in points at the head of the table with Power Board, who, however, have played two matches more. Milk Cn. have still four games to but their present form makes them first favourites for the trophy. The other results yesterday were: Power Board 4, neat Training College 0, Hellabv's 3, beat Kent's, Ltd., 1. Shell Oil and Abels, Ltd., meet this afternoon. The table to date is as follows:—
