MODEL OF BIG SHIP.
ANI INTERESTING EXHIBIT,
At the sight of a big ship model in the window, a considerable crowd gathered at Milne and Choyce's during the luncheon hour. The model was beautiful enough to inspire wanderlust in anyone, and the crowd that looked at it spoke much in sentences that started with "If only . . . ." The vessel hwose model was on show has never visited Auckland. She is the 20,000. ton, 20,000 horse-power Orient liner Orama, which plied between London and Australia. Built by Vickers, Ltd., of Barrow, she was the first of the famous five "O's," Orama, Oronsay, Otranto, Orford and Orontcs. All five- are sister-ships, identical in all but minor details. They arc twinscrew vessels, with cruiser tserms. Only two classes arc carried, first and third. The model was lent by the Union Co., who are the local representatives of the line.
