FOUND ON LAUNCH.

NAVAL MAN'S ARREST

THE CHARGE DISMISSED,

"This young fellow came into town yesterday with some others off his ship to have some fun and, in going home, he went on board a launch," said SubInspector McCarthy about William George Clarke (24), a member of the crew of the Diomede, who appeared at the Police Court this morning, charged with being found unlawfully on a launch last evening.

Mr. McCarthy said numerous complaints had been received about men going on board launches. However, there was no suggestion that Clarke had any wrongful intent.

Mr. Hunt dismissed tho charge and handed accused over to the Naval authorities.
