FRANKLIN POWER BOARD.
RESIGNATION OF ENGINEER, HIS SUCCESSOR APPOINTED. (From Our Own Correspondent.) PUKEKOHE, this day. Mr. T. R. Overton, engineer to the Franklin Electric Power Board, who is associated with tho South Taranaki and also the Northern Wairoa electrical undertakings, has decided to relinquish his position as resident engineer to the Franklin Board. At yesterday's meeting, on Mr. Overtoil's recommendation, the assistant engineer, Mr. L. G. Sharp, was appointed resident engineer for twelve months at a salary of £500. Mr. Overton's services are to be retained as consulting engineer, at a salary of £250 per annum. Appreciation of Mr. Overtoil's services was placed on record.
