Tug Reaches Stranded German
Steamer. DIVERS' EXAMINATION. (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) (Received 10.30 a.m.) COLOMBO, September 24. The tug Hercules, which rushed to the rescue of the stranded steamer Hoclist, has sent a wireless message stating that it has arrived at Minicoy Island. A diver examined the bottom of the Hochst. It is believed that the ship is embedded in the reef, thus averting the prospect of her breaking up.
