The first prize went to Esme West, 110, Grey Street East, Oneliunga, age 13, the second to Beryl Parnell, Kopu, age 12, and the third to Lottie Bates, 4, Hayr Road, Mount Roskill, age 14. Doris Feil, 44, Finch Street, Morningside, age 16, and Roy Neely, 34, West End Road, Heme Bay, age 14, 1 captured the fourth and fifth prizes respectively.
