MATANGI CLUB. HAMILTON", Tuesday. At the annual meeting of the Matangi Polo Club, the president, Mr. W. R. J. Franklin, reported that a successful season had been experienced. A new club had been formed at Waimea. and it had taken part in tournaments with the Matangi and Cambridge Clubs. A successful tournament had been held on the club's ground at Matangi. and several teams had taken part in the Savillc Cup tourney at Feilding. No trophies had been won. but some interesting games had been enjoyed. A committee had been appointed to arrane for tournament grounds at Claudelands. The balance sheet showed a credit of £50. The following officers were elected : President, Mr. W. R. .T. Franklin; secretary, Mr. W. L. Ranstead; captain, Mr. G. De Vere Chitty; selectors, Messrs. S. Pilkington and J. McXicol; committee, Messrs. Pilkington, Chitty, G. Ranstead, R. Hinton, A. Johns, R. H. Townsend.
