ROTORUA NOTES.

Mrs. Burns, of Opotiki, is the guest of '• her daughter, Mrs. C. R. Lloyd, Pukuatua Street. Mr. and Mrs. A. Smith, sen., have returned from a motor tour of tlie Wellington and Wangamii districts. They also visited' the Tongariro National Park. Miss G. Lysnar has returned from a lioliday spent at her home in Pukekohe. Mrs. C. A. Clark, Ohinemutu, has returned from a visit to Auckland. Miss Stanton, King George V. Hospital, is on a short visit to Auckland. Mies Denton, of the nursing staff of King George V. Hospital, has returned from a holiday spent in Remuera. , The Rotorua Hunt was well attended on Wednesday when the fine weather again tempted many to follow in cars, and all were entertained a t afternoon tea by the Master, Dr. H. Bertram, and Mrs. Bertram, at their residence, The Mount, Ranolf Street. Congratulatory speeches on the successful meetings were made by Dr. Bertram and Mr. WynnBrown, Master of the Waikato Hunt Club, and hearty cheers were given for Dr. and Mrs. Bertram and family. Among the many present were: Miss B. Evans, Misses Mary, Joan and Betty Bertram; Mesdames M. Carr, R. Copeland Smith, Parlane, Giesen, Duflil (Ngongotaha), T. Jackson, Willmott, 11. P. Ford, L. Ryan, Sherriff, J. St. Clair, J. Halkett, A. Clark, Meredith, Rowlings, C. R. Tapper, S. L. Paterson, A. R. Ryder, A. Brown (Tauranga), Woodroff (Christchurch), Bateman (Morrinsville); Misses Iv. Smith, S. Payton, Maher, Stoddart, P. Campbell, P. St. Clair, Wynn-Brown (Cambridge), Mitchell, Ford, Dalbeth. The monthly social afternoon of the Rotorua Women's Club was held in St. Luke's Parish Hall, when the president, Mrs. IST. 51. Keane, presided. The hall was decorated with spring flowers and gieeneiy, and musical items were given by Mrs. Wallace Richard's, songs; Miss Grace Cameron-Johnson, violin solos; Miss Iv. Hall, songs. The accompaiments were played by Mrs. W. Richards. An interesting paper 011 women police was read by Mrs. A. G. Christopher, and at the conclusion a vote of thanks was passed to Mrs. Christopher. A dainty afternoon tea was then served by the members.
