ST. MARY'S CONVENT.

A reception and reunion of past pupils was held at St. Mary's Convent, Ponsonby, yesterday. The Rev. Mother Margaret received the visitors. A delightful musical programme was given by some of the pupils, Misses Norah Brighouse, Irma Kitchen, Doncee O'Brien, Kathleen Monihan, Inez Kelly, Marjorie Kelly, Doris Bransgrove, Milicent O'Grady, Marie De Laney, and Kathleen Scott. Benediction was given by Bishop Liston, and the guests wandered through the beautiful new college, which is nearly finished. Bowls of spring flowers in tones of gold, red and lemon, gave the tea tables an attractive setting., Among those who attended were two Sisters of Charity from Australia, who are on a visit to the Dominion, and Sisters from the other convents. Other guests were: Mrs. J. J. O'Brien, Mrs. E. J. Prendergast, Mrs. P. Darby, Mrs. C. Drewry, Mrs. Nichol, Mrs. Wederall, Mrs. Drysdale, Mrs. H. P. Maguire, Mrs. Sheath, Misses Somerfield, N. Ormond, N. Flynn, O'Grady, O'Brien, N. Cameron. P. Flynn, Drewery, Lynch, A. Ryan, Wallnutt, M. Ormond.
