WIVES WHO WENT AWAY.
In the Supreme Court to-day a decree nisi was granted Lawrence John Smith (Mr. Schramm). 1 Married ill May, 1913, petitioner and his wife, Eva Smith, lived together till June 29, 192G, when, because he had inserted in a newspaper an advertisement stopping her credit, the wife left her husband and had not since returned to him. There were five children, the wife having custody of two and the husband three.
Married on September 1, 1927, Albert Edward Williams and his wife, Nellie Williams, lived together three month?, when the wife left him through no fault of his. In March. ]928, she went to Sydney, where she lias been living ever since under her maiden name. In April, 1928, he applied for and was granted against her an order for restitution of 'conjugal rights, but this she had not complied .with. A decree nisi was granted.
