DISTRESS SIGNAL.

ANOTHER COMPANY HARD HIT.

(Australian Press Assn.—United Service )

(Received 12 noon.)

LONDON, September 23. Sir Archibald Weigall, .as chairman, and the other directors of the Associated Automatic Alaehine Company issued a statement, announcing the receipt of the preliminary report from the account-ants-appointed to investigate the company's position. It is admitted that the recent events will seriously affect the company, but the remaining assets are sufficient to cover the preference capital.

Tie directors are of opinion that there is nothing to prevent the continuance of trading, but further investigations are necessary and these require considerable time.
