MOTOR CAR STRIKES TRAIN.
HURLED ON TO MUDFLAT. DRIVER ESCAPES UNHURT. (By Telegraph.:—Press Association.) NELSON, Monday. A motor car, driven by Mr. George Pascoe, struck the second truck of a train at the Saltwater Bndge crossing, Nelson, to-day, and was hurled through the protecting railing on to the mudflat below. Mr. Pascoe, who was the only occupant of the car, miraculously escaped without injury.
