AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION,
ONEHUNGA CLUB'S SUCCESS
A satisfactory financial year was reported at the annual meeting of the Auckland Croquet Association yesterday. The president, Mrs. Schnauer. presided over a record attendance. The secretary reported that there was a credit, balance of £!):>', alie donating £10 to the Mayor's earthquake relief fund.
At the annual tournament Mrs. Hoc.V won both the championship and handicap singles, and Mesdames Cole and Thompson the doubles. In the junior grade Mrs. Hawken won the singles, and Mesdames Hawken and Sessions the doubles. In inter-club matches Onehunga again scored the highest number of points, 2603, this being the ninth successive lime the chib had won the shield. Mount Eden, with 3090 points, won the junior shield, Otabuhu winning section B2 with 2651 points. The New Zealand Croquet Council buttons competitoin resulted as follows: —A gradeMrs. Keys: B grade. Mrs. Hawken; C grade, Mrs. Brooks.
Tim election of officers resulted as follows :—President, Mrs. Schnauer: vice presidents, Mesdatnes Hamilton. Oswald, Finch ; hon auditor, Mr. Tliornes; lion, secretary, Mrs. Keesing; assistant lion. secretary, Miss Brown.
