NOVELIST INJURED.
SIR G-. PARKER IN CAR SMASH. (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) SAN FRANCISCO, September 22. Sir Gilbert Parker, a well-known British novelist, sustained a broken arm and numerous bruises yesterday in a motoring accident. The- car, driven by the novelist's wife, was capsized several miles south of Monterey, California. Owing to Sir Gilbert's advanced age and poor state of health anxiety is felt for him. His wife was not injured.
