PUBLIC TRUST OFFICE.
STATEMENT FOR AUGUST. Tho following particulars of the loan transactions , and the new business reported during the month ended August 31, 1929, have been supplied by the Eight Hon. the Prime Minister:— Tho loans completed during the month amounted to £427,251, making a total of £2,034,090 completed since April 1 last. Further new loans were granted to the amount of £287,125, making the total loans granted, but not yet paid, £581,030, ■while offers of loans less than the full amounts applied for amount to £77,334, a total of £588,374. Renewals of 38 loans amounting to £177,458 were also authorised. Applications for additional new loans amounting to £442,939 are now under conmderation. Estates of a value of £622,081 were 1 fc > r administration ?nt#l 1 ? n A h - On March 31 last the Grants of administration made by the court in favour of the Public Trustee numbered 107 for the month xim ™<* During the month 631 new wills appointing the Public Trustee executor were' deposited tor nafe custody with tho Public 'J.ruetee by living testators, and the total Office is 96,191, representing an estimated present value of over £200,000,000.
