A WIDOW'S APPEAL
REVOLT STIMULATED. Rising Against Rebel King To Reap Revenge. WARRING IN AFGHANISTAN. (United Service.) (Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, September 18. The "Daily Mail's" Lahore correspondent states that Duranti tribesmen, who are at present occupying Kandahar, have not met with resistance from Habibullah's troops. A company mutinied and hoisted exKing Amanullah's flag, which enabled the tribesmen to .seize a large quantity of arms and ammunition. It is believed that the appeal for vengeance made by the widow of exKing Amanullah's brother-in-law, whom Habibullah executed, has stimulated the revolt. Tho women of ex-King Amanullah's family, who are at present imprisoned in Kabul, called on the Mohmand tribesmen in the name of Allah to save them from 'further disgrace and torture at the hands of Habibullah. Nadir Khan, former Afghan Minister at Paris, is leading the revolt. He has offered a reward of £187,000 to whoever is tlie first to enter and occupy Kabul.
