■ VISIT TO AUCKLAND.. . T* * SUGGESTED FIXTURES. The New Zealand Rugby League Council last evening dealt with the communication from the South . Sydney Club offering to send its premier team to the Dominion and stipulating the guarantee. - "V; The council regretted that it "was obvious tile visitors did not intend to go south, as only three fixtures were suggested. It was also pointed out that the football season terminated somewhat earlier in the south, and inquiry revealed a possible difficulty with regard to grounds. If the team was to come over fixtures had to bo made definitely and with no delay. It was resolved to suggest October 12, 10 and 19 as suitable dates for the matches, and to specify a slightly lower guarantee than asked. I ' WHANGAREI'S NEW GROUND. WHANGAREI, Wednesday. The management: committee of the Northland IJughy League has decided to acquire from Mr. W. Cossiil his property, facing Tarewa Road. The name of the ground, which is over six acres in area, will be Cossiil I'ark.
