Lovett, in the Pukekohe Police Court yesterday. | Sergeant Cowan said that shortly after 9 p.m. on July 27 he found the three defendants in a room adjoining the ; bar, with the licensee. j Adolphus Parris, the licensee, said Mc-j Cormick called on him bringing Pellow, who had for sale calves which witness wished to obtain. They brought with them Lovett. He invited them into the office, where the business was discussed. They were discussing the matter when the sergeant arrived. The slide connecting with the bar was locked and no liquor had been served. The charges were dismissed, the magis-' trate commenting that apparently McCormick and Pellow were legitimately on th© premises, but Lovett had been running a risk.
