EXTRADITED FROM SUVA.
ON FALSE PRETENCES CHARGE. ESDAILE IN COURT. Having been arrested in Sura and extradited to Auckland by the Niagara, which reached Auckland yesterday, Edward §aville Lyall Esdaile (26), described on the charge sheet as a company manager, appeared at the Police Court this morning. He was charged with obtaining the sum of £250 from Harold Alexander Cooper by falsely representing that h* had procured the shares of his co-diree-tors in the Art and Publicity Company, of New Zealand, Ltd., On the application ol Chief Detective Hammond, accused, for whom Air. Keegan appeared, was remanded until October 15. Bail was fixed at two sureties of £250 each.
