DETECTIVE'S BIG HAUL

TWO MEN IX INVERCARGILL.

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent) DUXEDIN, Monday. When Anthony David and John Coory were defore the Policc Court to-day on charges of broking and entering, liftective Suer, of Invercargill, said that o4 the night of September 10 he arrested ?!ie two men on another charge. He went to a room they occupied, and on entering saw David bending down at a cupboard. On seeing witness David threw something back. Witness found a cigarette tin containing keys, including skeleton keys. Some torches were in the cupboard, and a pair of gloves lay in a drawer. David was arrested and taken to the police station. About 40 minutes later Coory arrived at the room, having come in a touring car. He blew a born twice, and then got out of the car and went inside. Witness, followed by a sergeant, went in after him, and asked him his name. He refused to make any statement, and was arrested. A plug and a-half of gelignite was found, also a fuse, three detonators, steel drills, files, a brace and expanding bit, and motor accessories. Under a sack in the car were a jemmy and a chisel.
