CHINESE HOUSES RAIDED.

MEN FINED FOR GAMING. (By Telegraph'—Press Association.) 1 WELLINGTON, Monday. Further prosecutions in connection with a police raid on Chinese premises were conducted in the Police Court to-day. Wee Kee Fan, aged 34, Hedly Louis, aged 30, Low Bung, aged 71, and Sam Chong, aged 40, all pleaded guilty to keeping common gaming houses. Fan and Bung were each fined £20, in default three months' imprisonment. Louis and Chong. were both fined £10, in default six weeks' imprisonment. Another raid Was conducted to-day in Chinese quarters. George Chipperfleld, James Kavanagh and "William John Baker pleaded guilty ,to being "found in a common gaming house and were each fined £2 and costs.
