WARMLY WELCOMED.
Princess Mary And Her Husband At Dublin. UNDER STRONG GUARD. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, October 7. Princess Mary and Viscount Lascelles were warmly welcomed on their arrival at Dublin, although they were an hour late. They had breakfast with Mr. James MacNeill, Governor-General, and his wife, at the Vice-Regal lodge and later proceeded, in an all-steel, bullet-proof motor car and under a strong guard, to Portumna, the Viscount's Irish home, where the crowd cheered them. At Portumna, Monsignor Joyce, the parish priest, was invited to dine last night with Princess Mary and Viscount Lascelles; who this morning will attend a harvest festival at a Protestant Church.
BUSY TIME AHEAD.
PORTUMNA EN FETE. (British Official Wireless.) ir (Received 12 noon.) ' RUGBY, October 7. The little town of Portumna was beflagged and the inhabitants assembled in large numbers , at the castle gates and .gave the Princess and Lord; Lascelle j .a, great ovation. Princess Mary and Viscount Lascelles will leave Portumna castle next Thursday for, Ulster, where a great reception avtaits them. They will spend two days in Belfast, where they will be the guests of the Duke of Abercorn, Governor of Northern Ireland,- and the Duchess of . Abercorn. They will make a tour of the shipyards, ropeworks and linen factories, and will attend ceremonies connected with the British Legion, Girl Guides and Boy Scouts, and pay a visit to Lord Craigavon, the Premier of Northern Ireland, a& Stormont Castle.
