RAILWAY WORKSHOPS.
The employees are heartily sick of state* ments about the opening of the new railway workshops, and they know that it will be utterly impossible to start the new works this side of Christmas. In the Railways Statement of 1927 Mr. Coates said that a Workshops Committee would be set up and would meet at least once a fortnight, but notwithstanding this there has been no meeting of the Newmarket Workshops Committee for the past seven weeks and the men are discontented. YANKEE BLUFF.
