SCHOOL STEEPLECHASE.

CAMBRIDGE HIGH SCHOOL. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) CAMBRIDGE, this day. Cambridge District High School's initial annual steeplechase was held yesterday. 100 contestants taking part. The course Was a little over three miles, from the High School, over Jas. Taylor's property, "Bardowie," down Victoria Road, and back to the school. Results.—H. Carter 1 (handicap 3m 355, time 21m 355); A. Pennell 2 (handicap lm 245, time 21m 38s) ; E. Richmond 3 (handicap 245, time 21m 40s). L. Parker, who finished sixth, put up fastest time of 19m 335. Carter and Pennell reached the school gates together, but the former sprinted and won comfortably. Silver cups for the' winner of the race and for fastest time .were presented by Messrs. Geo. Calvert and S. Lewis forannual competition.
