WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.

HUTCHINGS—EATON. The Presbyterian Church, Devon port, was chosen for the wedding of Miss Eaton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Eaton, of Church Street, Devonport; when she was married to ■ Mr. John Hutchings, eldest son of Mrs. Hutchings, of Mount Albert, and the late Mr. C. A. Hutchings, of Whangarei. The bride, who was given away by Mr. Hollywood, wore a gown of chalk white satin made on simple lines, and an embroidered tulle veil, which was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of white stocks, sweet peas and roses, with satin ribbons. The bride's sister, Miss Nancy Eaton, accompanied her in an apple green crepe de chine, tulle headdress, and shower bouquet of pink and mauve flowers. The little flower girl, Mollie McLeod, niece of the bride, wore shell pink tulle over crepe de chine, with silver headdress, and carried a silver basket of spring flowers. The Rev. Mr. Marsh performed the ceremony. The bride's mother wore a black georgette and lace, smart black hat; the bridegroom's mother, black satin beaute and georgette, hat to tone.

FENNING—FREEMAN.

All Saints' Church at K»ir«i)i was the scene of a pretty wedding, when Ruby Kathleen, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. K. W. Freeman, of was united in marriage to Albert James, only eon of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Penning, also of Kakahi. The church was tastefully decorated by the sister and brothers of the bride with spring flowers and ferns, a bowl of beautiful arum lili«« being placed on the altar steps. 'The Rev: W. T. F. Skey performed the ceremony. Entering the church on the arm of her father the bride looked charming in a< dainty frock of powder blue rayon elite. The bodice was long-waisted, with a front panel of diamond pin tu&ks decorated at the throat with a spray of orange blossom (her mother's bridal spray), the skirt being fairly full, with knife tucks at the sides. The embroidered tulle veil was swathed round the head cap fashion and had ear sprays of orange blossom buds and silver. The bride carried a lovely shower bouquet ofpale blue hyacinths and white daffodils. The bridesmaid, Miss Grace Penning, sister of the bridegroom, wore a pale green taffeta and gold lace mads in the latest mode, a ribbon headdress, and carried a bouquet of golden Mr. Lyndsay Brew, cousin of the bride, was best man. The wedding tea was served at the residence of the bride's parents. The guests were received by Mrs. F. W. Freeman, who wore a gown of royal blue silk marocain and a hat to tone. Miss J. P. Freeman, sister of the bride, was in apple green crepe de chine, trimmed with biscuit crepe de chine, and wore a hat to tone. Mrs. P. C. Brew, aunt of the bride, wore grey rayon de chene and a pink hat.
