CAUSAE OF FIRE UNKNOWN.

LEVIN, this day.
A serious fire occurred late on Saturday night in premises occupied by Ince and Co. (drapers), G. D. Hamilton (accountant), V. Henderson (tailor), and Miss Williams (dressmaker), the three latter occupying the first floor. The fire had a strong hold when the alarm was given, and though the outbreak was confined to the block where it originated, the stocks and buildings were a total loss. The insurance on Ince's stock is £5000, and on fittings £500; Hamilton's office, furniture £100. The building, which belonged to the Stiles and Math won Estate, was insured for £3000. Other tenants were uninsured. The cause of the outbreak is unknown.
