A young .man was charged in the Police Court to-day with having stolen £32 9/8 and £20 5/1, the property of a company which employed him as a clerk. . L The manager of the company in Whakatarie "stated that accused forwarded statements to Whakatane without bank receipts. On the first occasion lie said he had mislaid the bank receipt! On the second occasion witness became suspicious and rang up the bank, and found that the money had not been paid in. Accused pleaded guilty, and was committed to the Supreme Court at Auckland for- sentence. His name was suppressed. • ' .
