TRANSACTIONS ON 'CHANGE. Inquiry was made this morning for Abraham Williams' preference shares at £i 5/, but no seller quoted. Hikurangi Coal A preference shares were offered at par, but buyers remained at.S/9. The preference issue could still. be placed at 10/. "P. and O. Deferred Stock were again in request at £243, and a seller came in at £250. L.0.8. Timber firmed to buyers at £1 14/3, and New Zealand Breweries were wanted, at £2 13/6.
