YOUNG WOMAN'S OFFENCES.
STEALS A RUG. EVADES RAILWAY FARE. Ada Aliee Myers (24), a domestic, looked most penitent when she appeared at the Police Court this morning to plead guilty to charges of stealing a rug valued at 6/11 and \rith travelling between Auckland and Wbangarei with the intention of evading pavment of her railway fare of 14/2. Senior Sergeant Cummings said that when accused left the house where she had been staying in Auckland she took a rug. with her. She had also failed to pay her railway fare to AVhangarei. Accused had been previously before the Court, receiving one month's imprisonment at Whangarei on a vagranty charge. j Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., decided to give Myers another chance. She was placed oil probation for twelve months and given a final warning.
