AUCKLAND BANK OFFICER.

Mr. F. D. McGovern, manager of the Bank of New South Wales in Timam, has been appointed assistant-manager in Auckland. He took up his new duties a few days ago. He represented several North Island provinces at Rugby in the 90's, and was centre for Wairarapa when the greens beat N.S.W. in 18514 by 21 points to 3, subsequent to the Waratahs winning the only Test B—6.
