ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION.

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. The fiftieth anniversary of the arrival of the ship Lady Jocelyn, with the second band of pioneers of the settlement, will be celebrated by the Katikati settlers on October 12. The invited guests include Mr. J. E. Slevin, of Waihi, one of the original settlers, and Mr. C. E. McMillan, M.P. for Tauranga.
