PRIME MINISTER'S PROMISE.
"GOOD LUCK TO THEM." (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. "I have definitely undertaken to get i lie Auckland Transport Bill before Parliament this session," stated Mr. Coates, when interviewed this afternoon. "It will come down and go through if it means that every Standing Order has to be suspended." When the "Star's" Parliamentary reporter soujrht to learn if Mr. Coates regarded, to day's compromise as siatis- 1 tory, he replied, "I still think my own suggestion, to have a commissioner, was the best,- but let them ; go ahead, and good luck to them. The bill is coming down, but I can't tell you when."
