GERMANY SCORES.
BRITISH CONTRACT SECURED. LONDON, September 28. The British Post Office has placed in Germany a £60,000 contract for cable Wire, complaining that a British "ring" prevents the submission of reasonable British tenders. British firms admit the existence of a "ring," which they justify on the zround that it ensures a first-class product, has raised waees 175 per cent, and ensures steady employment by allotting surplus orders to 6lack firms.
