In reply to 'the. Whangarei Borough Council's request for a permit to extend reticulation to Onerahi, the Minister of Public Works asked if the council had considered the matter jn connection with the proposals of the Hobaon Electric Power Board. He understood that that board was negotiating for a general supply of electric power to the whola area and might be arranging for this district in its enlarged area of supply. He would also like to know if the council was assured that it could obtain a sufficient supply from the Wairua Falls to permit of a supply being given to a larger area.' The council decided to send the required information.
