FRANKLIN—TAYLOR.
The marriage of Eric Cyril, second son of Mr. and. Mrs. J. Franklin, of Papatoetoe, to Marjorie, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Percy Taylot, of Papatoetoe, took place yesterday afternoon at St. Mary's Cathedral. The Rev. P. C. Davis, assisted - by Canon Percival James, performed the ceremony. The bride wore a white souple satin over georgette, the skirt having an apron effect and border of silver lace, with silver side panels. Small clusters of blossoms were lightly placed on the frcftit of the skirt and shoulder. The veil, which formed the train, was of embroidered Brussels net and was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms. The bride carried a white shower bouquet of sweet peas, stocks, roses and silver streamers. The maids accompanying the bride were Misses Phyllis Pillinger and Rita Taylor (cousins of the bride). The former was in a salmon georgette frock trimmed with silk lace, the latter in eau de nil georgette with a scalloped'hem and pleated sash. Each wore a tulle bandeau, with a wreath of gold and silver to match the gowns. Beautiful shower bouquets were carried. The best man was Mr. Vincent Franklin, and the groomsman Mr. Kelvin Pineon. The bride's mother received £he guests in a rose coloured channeuse and hat to match. The bridegroom's mother was in black satin, with black lace vest over pink and a black satin hat. The wedding tea was served at the Domain kiosk, which was decorated in various -shades of pink streamers and flowers to tone.
