CITY RAIL OUTLETS.
MR. BARTRAM CONCERNED. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) W ELLINGTON, Monday. The information recently given by the Prime Minister that the survey o't the new rail outlet for the North Auckland line had been completed was the subject of caustic comment by Mr. F. N. Bartram (Grey Lynn) in the House of Representatives this afternoon. He suggested that if it was such an important and necessary work as been stated officially some years ago, it was extraordinary to find that it was four years later before the survey had been completed. However, when it was done, he trusted that the work itself would be put in hand, for its prosecution would do a great deal to solve the unemployment problem which remained so pressing.
Tn raising once more the plea for the unemployed, Mr. Bartram assured the House that it was not a political stunt, but was dictated by the necessities of a serious position.
