MARRIED MAN FOUND ON ROAD.
ACCIDENT AT A CURVE.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. Aubrey Larkins, aged 32, a married man, employed in a city dye works, was found dead on a road near Wakari yesterday, with his motor cycle alongside. Apparently an accident occurred when Mr. Larkins was negotiating a curve. YOUTH FATAIXY INJURED. MOTOR CYCLE STRUCK BY TRUCK. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, Sunday. A youth, Finlay McGillivray, aged 19, of West Plains, died in the Southland Hospital on Saturday from injuries received in a collision between a motor cycle he was riding and a motor truck. The accident occurred on Friday evening. GIRL HURT IN COLLISION. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, Sunday. Dorothy Goulsboro', aged 16, had her scalp injured last evening when a motor car and a motor cycle collided in Central Avenue. She was taken, unconscious, to hospital, but her condition has improved. The rider of the cycle, Mr. Rufus Hardie, cscaped with bruises and abrasions. CAR STRIKES POST. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) PUKEKOHE, Sunday. In avoiding a collission with another motor car, Miss M. Nixon, of Pukekohe, drove a car into a telegraph post at the corner of Queen Street and Harris Street. The car was considerably damaged, and the post was forced out of the vertical position. Miss Nixon was slightly cut by glass. PILLION-RIDER INJURED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) ROTORUA, this day. Charles Tumatahi, aged 30, was pillionriding on a motor cycle with another native on Saturday night when the machine skidded in some loose sand at the side of the road. Mr. Tumatahi was thrown off. He was conveyed to the King George V. Hospital, where he is lying in a serious condition with his skull fractured. The driver of the cycle was not injured. VIOLENT COLLISION. SIDE-CAR PASSENGER INJURED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WANGANUI, Sunday. Mr. A. M. Bain, aged 23, had his left thigh and leg broken when a side-car in which he was riding yesterday collided with a two-seater motor car at Marybank, two miles from Wanganui. Mr. P. Nauttall, the rider of the cycle, escaped unhurt. The driver of the car, Mr. W. J. Hartwell, was accompanied by his wife, his young son and a friend, Mr. R. Armstrong. All escaped injury except the child, who suffered a severe cut on one temple. The side-car was wrecked and the motor car badly damaged. CARS COLLIDE AT TAIHAPE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TAIHAPE, this day. A head-on collision occurred on the Wainui-Moawhango Road, in the vicinity of Taihape, yesterday. A car driven by Mr. Steedman, of Mataroa, suddenly rounded a sharp corner and crashed into a three-seater car driven bv Mrs. H. Williams, of Taihape. The impact threw the lighter car three yards in the opposite direction, and damaged it seriously. There were only two occupants of the three-seater, and they were thrown clear, but they received minor * bruises and abrasions, and they are also suffering greatly from shock. "
